The creation of commissioned original artwork is a process of collector and artist working together to produce something special. I can create an original drawing of your own piece of Maine for you, for family or friends, for the holidays, for a housewarming gift, or for no reason at all.

studio How does this work?
I will meet with you at your home or at my studio to discuss the project. You can see my work online on my website and in my studio. We will have a discussion about the piece. If it is a portrait of your home or business, locale is not limited. I will draw from your photographs, as well as from my own.


Commissioned art is often done to specification - an artist is provided with a detailed description of what is wanted. The artist’s role is then often interpretive; he/she will process the required specifications into his/her creation. You have chosen me to do this piece of art because of my artistic vision in addition to my technical skill.
A commissioned artwork is also a truly special gift. Please call or email us for information on sizing and pricing. ( An advance of ½ the total cost will be required.)

I love animals, especially dogs and cats and feel able to give my clients more than just a piece of art. I can give them a drawing that will be family keepsake and act as a unique bond they share with their pet. I strive to bring out the individual personalities and distinct feature in each of the pets I do.

Send me a photo of your pet via e-mail or snail mail. The best time to take a pet's photograph is on a cloudy but bright day; this cuts down on harsh shadows.

I preferably like to see different angles but if you have one particular pose you like, please send that one. As with most my art, I work with graphite and/or pen and ink with a touch of color.
