Writers & Poets
Option 1
Blogging
It is no secret that authors write some of the very best blogs. Although the styles and subject matter of the author blogs vary widely, they all share two important qualities: they are all frequently updated and interesting to read.
We can create a blogging page for you to sell your book or share snippets of your writing.
You will be able to update the page when you want to, or we can do the updates for you. (fee TBD)
Hints For Blogging
- Avoid a traditional blog. An author should not do is have a blog-centric website -- essentially a stream of the latest blog entries.
- Invite readers to join the conversation -- “Join the Conversation” or “Talk Back” box. That’s where you would list all the different ways that readers are contributing to the blog, and invite new readers to chime in. Encourage readers to submit their own reviews of the book. This is a good way to make new visitors feel welcome to join the group.
- DO find ways to have something new on your site regularly.
- Attach a Twitter feed box. That way, every time you Tweet something it shows up on your website. (Instant updating and you only had to type 140 characters (or less)!
- DO include a “Buy” button next to each of your books.
